We provide this website as a service to Cambridge Regional College students and to visitors who wish to know more about the College, its services and activities. Visitors to our websites

We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. We collect this information in a way which does not identify anyone. We will not associate any data gathered from this site with any personally identifying information from any source. If we do want to collect personally identifiable information through our website, we will be up front about this. Subscribing to e-newsletters or requests for information

If you sign up to receive one of our e-newsletters through one of our websites, or request to receive one of our publications, we will explicitly ask for your permission to contact you by email and to keep your details on file. We have to hold the details of the people who have requested the service in order to provide it. However, we only use these details to provide the service the person has requested and for other closely related purposes. For example, we might use information about people who have requested a publication to carry out a survey to find out if they are happy with the level of service they received. When people do subscribe to our services, they can cancel their subscription at any time and are given an easy way of doing this.

We use an email platform, Pure360, to deliver our e-newsletters. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies including clear gifs to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter.

Job applicants, current and former Cambridge Regional College employees

When you apply for a job through our website, we will collect personal data (such as your name and contact details) and sensitive personal data which is defined under the Data Protection Act 1998.
Any personal data that is collected on this site, including any sensitive personal data, will be collected and processed in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
Personal data will be stored, processed, used and disclosed by us in the ways outlined below:

Information Retention

Your personal data will be retained for a period of 6 months from the closing date, to enable us to match your details to future suitable vacancies that may arise. After 6 months your personal data will be removed from this system. You can request the removal of your personal data at any time prior to 6 months, or request a copy of the personal data that Cambridge Regional College holds about you, by emailing us.

Use of cookies

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer by websites that you visit. They are widely used in order to make websites work, or work more efficiently, as well as to provide information to the owners of the site.
